Get the Look: Holiday Party in Plaid

Hi friends!

Hope the week is going well. I’ve had a pretty busy one myself. I always feel like the holiday season brings extra things to juggle and extra holiday-related activities, which can get a little stressful even though it’s all in the name of fun. I went to a business holiday party last night and thought I’d share my outfit details along with some different plaid pieces if you’d like to incorporate plaid into your holiday party.

This outfit is on the dressier side, so it would also work for a Christmas church service or a nice Christmas Day meal. Most of this look is from J.Crew because I always have consistent success in their work clothes fitting me the right way (they have a great variety of clothes sized for tall people like me). J.Crew is also having a great sale right now if you are contemplating getting anything — you can get 30% off your entire purchase or 40% off if you spend $200 or more. Anyway, here are the details:

If, like me, you are loving the plaid trend this season and looking to incorporate that into your outfit with a slightly different look, a few fun, plaid pieces are below.

Asos Plaid Bocle Shift Dress, $46

J.Crew Bow-Shoulder Top in Festive Plaid, $80

BP Heritage Plaid Scarf, $25

BB Dakota Plaid Shawl Collar Coat, $148

Sole Society Winslow Flat, $100

J.Crew Taffeta Skirt in Stewart Plaid, $98

I think the Asos shift dress is absolutely adorable and would look great with a longsleeve shirty underneath if you are worried about staying warm. The coat and scarf are also great ways to incorporate plaid if you have a chronic problem of being cold, like I do! Do you have a favorite item in my post? I’d love to hear if you have a similar holiday look or go-to items you like to wear for holiday events.

Here’s to everyone staying sane throughout the holiday madness – cheers!
