Spring Style Staples: Blush Pink & Grey - Spring Staples - SCsScoop.com

Spring is around the corner, and I just can’t wait! I have been pulling out my spring clothes and wearing them as much as possible, even if that means throwing a big coat over them to go outside. I have a series of posts planned for you all, focusing on spring style staples. So today, I’m kicking it off with the best spring style staples in blush pink and grey.

There’s something so sweet, easy and happy about this color combination. To me, it just screams spring. The pink and grey pieces below will definitely elevate your style for spring. But first, here is the look I styled that inspired this post.

Style Tip: We’ll be seeing more of the snakeskin trend! Investing in shoes or an accessory with this print can be a fun way to pull together a pink and grey outfit! And, if you aren’t a fan of the mule trend, the flats I shared above come in a sleek slingback style

Now, here are a few staples for spring that I recommend getting in blush pink, grey or both colors!

Spring Style in Blush Pink and Grey

How do you feel about the blush pink and grey color combo? What are your staples for spring outfits? I would love to hear which pieces you love the most.

Let me know what you think in the comments and stay tuned for more posts on spring style staples.

Cheers!

A Unique Wood Watch to Stand Apart from the Crowd + GIVEAWAY

A Unique Wood Watch to Stand Apart from the Crowd + JORD GIVEAWAY - SCsScoop.com

Thank you to JORD wood watches for partnering with me on this post and giveaway!

_______________________________________________________________

The temperatures are steadily dropping, the crisp air is flowing in and fall has arrived! With the new season officially here, I am excited to share with you all an accessory that will set your fall wardrobe apart from the crowd. It is a unique wood watch from JORD! If you have been following along on the blog for a while, you know I gifted Will an engraved wood watch from JORD for him to wear on our wedding day. I have been eyeing their watches for myself ever since, but could not decide what style or color to get. There are a lot of options and I am notoriously indecisive! But, I finally decided it was time to get my own unique wood watch. And thanks to JORD, I have an awesome GIVEAWAY to share with you! Before we get to the giveaway details, here is the scoop on these gorgeous wood watches.

A Unique Wood Watch to Stand Apart from the Crowd + JORD GIVEAWAY - SCsScoop.com

A Timepiece that Sets You Apart from the Crowd

With 13 different types of wood and a wide range of colors, JORD offers a large selection of wood watches for men and women. These eco-friendly watches arrive in a beautiful wooden box that makes for a perfect keepsake to store your watch. In addition, each watch comes with a cloth for cleaning your watch and a natural finishing oil to keep the wood in good condition.

These unique watches make great gifts as well. If you are looking for a personalized gift for the upcoming holidays, I would highly recommend using JORD’s engraving option. Having a meaningful phrase engraved on your gift just makes it that much more special.

Now, after a lot of deliberation on my end, I chose the Cassia style with olive wood and an aegean blue face. This style is similar in colors to the Frankie style I got Will, but different enough so they do not match exactly.  I love having a unique accessory like this that is different from a lot of the standard watches out there. The olive wood and beautiful grey-blue face are even prettier in person. Best of all, the colors and style are so versatile and complimentary of my fall wardrobe.

It looks so lovely with my camel cardigan, don’t you think?

My Travel Look + The Most Interesting Podcast Episodes I’ve Heard Lately

Life has been pretty busy recently, and we have had lots of road trips. Last weekend, we went to California to Will’s brother’s wedding which involved a cross-country flight and a few hours in the car. With that trip and several other road trips this summer, I have burned through A LOT of podcast episodes. But a few particularly interesting podcast episodes stand out. So today, I am revealing these share-worthy podcasts and my travel look from the weekend.

But first, a couple of shots from our California adventure…

The 5 Most Interesting Podcast Episodes I’ve Heard Lately

When it comes to podcasts, I think I am pretty picky. Most of all, I enjoy listening to entertaining, intriguing people talk about their personal experiences, relationships and things that impact the way we all coexist in this world. I love hearing about something new. Add a bit of drama or something unusual, and I’m sucked in. If this sounds at all like some of the criteria that goes into your podcast picks, you should check out the episodes I’ve shared!

Emotional LaborDear Sugars

This podcast episode highlights the invisible work that is done most often exclusively by wives and girlfriends. There’s a never-ending list of things women are taught to handle from a young age: making the grocery list, coordinating with the babysitter, making food for the party, scheduling a get-together with family and keeping track of all the appointments. The list goes on! What I found most interesting about this episode was how most men were oblivious to the invisible work discussed and how these social constructs seem to be shifting now that most adult men and women are working full-time jobs in the U.S.

Katie Couric on Death & Dishonesty – Death, Sex & Money

In this interview, Katie Couric opens up about her first marriage and how they dealt with his diagnosis and ultimate death. She shares a valuable perspective on what it’s like to see someone you love dying and how you keep moving forward, while allowing space to grieve.

Sharing DNA and Nothing Else  – Death, Sex & Money

Have you ever thought of taking a mail-in DNA test? Amy did just that and the results she got rocked her world. This is a fascinating podcast episode about family dynamics and what it really means to call someone family.

Rip It Life: Building Your Dream Career & Still Enjoy Life with Al GoldmanThe Confused Millennial

Are you the type of person to pick-up your bags and move across the country in one week’s time? I can’t say for sure that I am, but I loved hearing how fellow 20-something Al Goldman did this, all while making big career moves and maintaining a work-life balance. Al and Rachel, of the Confused Millennial, have a refreshing discussion about the importance of being as passionate for your career as you are for the life outside of your 9 to 5.

Jimmy Fallon Will Never Make Fun of YouHere’s The Thing with Alec Baldwin

The one and only Jimmy Fallon has a candid chat with Alec Baldwin about his rise to fame. He shares a lot of interesting insights about his life. And unsurprisingly, this is a really fun and entertaining podcast to listen to. It’s perfect if you could use a laugh and some motivation for achieving your dreams!

Here’s The Thing with Alec Baldwin is a great podcast for movie buffs, since Baldwin has a lot of personal interviews with various Hollywood insiders. Death, Sex & Money is my all-time favorite podcast. I have been listening to it for several years and always find the stories refreshing and entertaining. In contrast, Dear Sugars and The Confused Millennial are the two most recent podcasts I have started listening to that I love. Dear Sugars shares letters from around the country to kickoff conversations that mostly circle around relationships and social constructs. The Confused Millennial has a lot of episodes about living your best life, from career to self-improvement, and the host Rachel keeps things real!

Travel Style & The Most Interesting Podcast Episodes I’ve Heard Lately - Sarah Camille's Scoop - SCsScoop.com

Here’s my airport look from our travels last weekend!

Top (Similar) | Sweatshirt (Similar) | Ripped Jeans | Slide-on Sneakers | Suitcase | Bag (Similar) | Bracelet | Sunglasses

The slide-on sneakers I wore were perfect for the airport! They come in a modern metallic grey, that has just enough shine to spice up your outfit and they are super comfy! I always have to travel with a sweatshirt or sweater too. What do you prefer to wear at the airport?

I love listening to podcasts during my commute and travels most of all. So, I’m curious to hear when you listen to podcasts and what you’ve been listening to.

What is the most interesting podcast episode you have heard lately?

Have you listened to any of the episodes I shared, or any of the podcasts in general?  What type of podcasts do you like to listen to? Let’s chat in the comments!

Cheers,

Sarah Camille
