Spring is around the corner, and I just can’t wait! I have been pulling out my spring clothes and wearing them as much as possible, even if that means throwing a big coat over them to go outside. I have a series of posts planned for you all, focusing on spring style staples. So today, I’m kicking it off with the best spring style staples in blush pink and grey.

There’s something so sweet, easy and happy about this color combination. To me, it just screams spring. The pink and grey pieces below will definitely elevate your style for spring. But first, here is the look I styled that inspired this post.

Style Tip: We’ll be seeing more of the snakeskin trend! Investing in shoes or an accessory with this print can be a fun way to pull together a pink and grey outfit! And, if you aren’t a fan of the mule trend, the flats I shared above come in a sleek slingback style

Now, here are a few staples for spring that I recommend getting in blush pink, grey or both colors!

A Blush Crush: Valentine’s Day Style

Pale pink, blush, baby pink, rose… whatever you want to call it, I am majorly crushing on this color lately. Blush is a perfect color for a Valentine’s Day look as well. Here are a few crush-worthy blush pieces that are particularly fun for the holiday, whether you are staying in or going out.

ModCloth Button-Up Top in Puff, $50

NYJD Ami Release Hem Stretch Skinny Jeans, $114

Halogen Tie Neck Sleeveless Blouse, $59

Lush Split Neck Shift Dress, $46

525 America Off-Shoulder Sweater, $96

ModCloth Pleats as Punch A-Line Skirt, $50

NYDJ Henley Blouse, $88

I personally love pairing blush with blush are army or olive green and grey. For example, the Modcloth skirt above would look great with a light grey and white striped shirt. The 525 America sweater would also look chic with grey or olive jeans and pumps. Olive green and grey tend to be more unexpected than your navy or black palettes, but blush on blush is also a hot trend. If you want to keep your whole look neutral, you could pair the ModCloth blouse with the NYDJ jeans.

Do you have any favorite clothes in blush that you are loving? Are you doing anything special for Valentine’s Day?

I prefer to stay in on the day of Valentine’s Day and keep things low key. Restaurants tend to get a little to crazy for me, going out a couple days before or after the holiday is a nice way to spice things up. This year, Will and I will celebrate a little early since I have a surprise planned for him! Let me know what you have planned.

Cheers!

Get the Look: Red Dress for less than $100

Can you believe we are less than one week until Christmas? If you are looking for an affordable and fabulous dress for a Christmas party, I’d put aside that always dependable black dress and consider going with a red dress for that perfect pop of festive flair.

Similar to the token “little black dress,” a red dress is a staple piece that all women should own. But, a red dress serves a different purpose. It’s a way to make a statement, standout and bring a spark of fun to the environment. My favorite red dresses are simple and classic, with a twist. Here are a few red dresses that are great for a range of body types.

1. Felicity & Coco Ruffle Sheath Dress, $98

2. Tahari Seamed A-Line Dress, $64

3. Modcloth A-Line Dress, $60

4. Lulu’s Red Midi Dress, $46

The Felicity & Coco sheath dress has a great cut for a straight and narrow figure. The Tahari and Modcloth A-line dresses are a flattering cut for curvy, petite and athletic figures. The Lulu’s dress is also a nice option to play up your curves.

Recently, I wore a red dress for Thanksgiving dinner. I opted for a thick cotton A-line dress from LOFT. I paired it with sheer black tights, a pair of my favorite Dolce Vita booties, a sparkly J.Crew Factory necklace and a scarf from Zara.

While this exact dress is no longer available, the Tahari dress pictured above is very similar. What I like most about a style like this is that it can easily be dressed up or down for fancy or casual affairs. The dress and sleeve length also allow it to be easily worn across seasons.

Hopefully the pieces I have shared will help you out this holiday season or for future festivities. If you have a favorite red dress, I’d love to hear about it.

Cheers!
