I don’t know about you, but I am loving the fair isle sweater trend this winter! They are a fun way to spice up your winter wardrobe. If you are like me and have been eyeing this trend, then this post is for you. For a little fashion inspiration, I am sharing how I recently styled a new fair isle sweater with all the outfit details. Plus, I found 11 cute and affordable fair isle sweaters worth adding to any winter wardrobe.
Shop My Look!
The fair isle sweater I am wearing is from LOFT and is currently 50% off! I styled my sweater with ripped jeans and a western style bootie for a bit of a unique twist. Also, my handbag is a new purchase that I have been loving. It was the perfect size for our recent trip to Europe, and the oxblood color goes with so many things. It comes in three other pretty, neutral colors, that are super tempting to get given its affordable price! Of course, on colder days I would throw my go-to parka (also on sale right now!) over this outfit to stay warm.

How is your week going? I am still reminiscing over the weekend. Will and I spent in western Virginia. The fall foliage was seriously stunning (see below!) and the fresh air was just what we needed. The weekend away reminded me how wonderful the simple things are in life and how a good time doesn’t need to cost anything. All that matters is that you’re in good company! So, today I’m sharing fun and cheap date ideas that Will and I have done.
First, there’s a little sneak peek for you I need to point out. The photos, courtesy of Joffoto, in this post are from some modeling I did for The Little Market’s newest locals bag for Washington, D.C. We had a blast visiting the local farmer’s market (hello, cheap date idea #1!) and putting The Little Market’s reusable bag to good use. I will do a full post on the blog with more photos and details of the bag and The Little Market soon.
What I like about these ideas most is that they all give you and your partner time to focus on each other, and really have good quality time with each other. Over the past couple years, Will and I have discovered the difference in being together and truly being focused on having good quality time together. For me, this means putting my phone away and any other distractions!
I think the outfit I wore for our visit to the farmer’s market in DC could be worn for a lot of the date ideas I shared. What do you think? Are any of the date ideas on my list your personal favorites? Or, do you have a go-to cheap date ideas that are not on my list? I would love to hear your thoughts and how you and your significant other maintain a cadence of having quality time together.
Hi friends and happy Friday! How are you? This week has been a whirlwind for me, with my birthday and work taking priority, but do not fear! I am working on a couple exciting posts for next week and am doing a photo shoot tomorrow for an awesome opportunity. I can’t wait to share it and tell you all about it! Since today is Friday the 13th and Halloween is just 18 days away, I am sharing my favorite Halloween tops, as part of my “Friday Favorite” series I started a couple of weeks ago.
If you are at all like me, then putting on a costume is not at the top of your list this year. Occasionally, I get a costume and go all out, but the stars have to align for me to go forth with that plan. But forgoing a full costume doesn’t have to be lame! A fun, Halloween-themed top might be just the thing to get you in the spooky spirit. As you will see, most of the tees, tanks and sweatshirts below are less than $30. There are two items from Wildfox that are definitely splurge-worthy. If you haven’t heard, Wildfox has such good quality and super cute cozy tops!
Favorite Halloween Tops
How do you like my favorite tops? My favorite is definitely the one “I’m here for the Boos” tank from Target’s Fifth Sun line. It is super soft and I am a huge fan of puns. The $13 price isn’t bad either!
What do you plan on wearing for the Halloween season? Do you have costumes you are excited to wear or a festive outfit planned? I would love to know if you have any Halloween activities planned too. Personally, my favorite Halloween activities are going to a local pumpkin patch, handing out (and eating!) candy and carving the pumpkin.
