Our Fall Road Trip & Things to Do in the Berkshires

A few weeks ago Will and I went on a road trip to the Berskshires, in western Massachusetts, for my birthday weekend. Just before my birthday, we celebrated Liam's first birthday. So, it felt like an extra good time to celebrate getting through that first year of parenthood and have some time for just the two of us. I'm so grateful to my mom and aunt who watched Liam that weekend - it truly was the best gift! Our road trip into the Berkshires felt like a trip back in time. You know the time.. when people didn’t have phones attached to their bodies at all times. The Berkshires or “the shire” as locals call it, it is a place to come relax and enjoy nature. And while you can visit year round, going in the fall seemed like the perfect time since New England is known for their fall foliage. We spent a good part of our road trip taking it easy and relaxing, so I wasn't surprised that we didn't get to everything on my list of things to do in the Berkshires. Since I would like to go back eventually, and some of you shared some recommendations, I wanted to share all the details with you.

Hi friends! I don't know about you but so many of the world's current events have left me feeling more drained and stressed than usual. It's hard to believe and really wrap my head around how much life as we know it has changed because of the pandemic. And, it's mind boggling that eighteen months into this there is still so much uncertainty. UGH. But today, I don't want to focus on the things that are largely out of our control. Hi friends! I know I have professed my love for fall many times on here, but there’s just so many things I love about the season. One of them has always been fall decorations. In fact, I have been itching to decorate for fall for a few weeks now. I know. It’s only early September. But, before I could begin I did some deliberating over what exactly I wanted to do and a lot of perusing of all the affordable fall home decor out there.
