Hi friends! I don't know about you but so many of the world's current events have left me feeling more drained and stressed than usual. It's hard to believe and really wrap my head around how much life as we know it has changed because of the pandemic. And, it's mind boggling that eighteen months into this there is still so much uncertainty. UGH. But today, I don't want to focus on the things that are largely out of our control. I want to share some self care ideas with you all and talk about the importance of scheduling in and planning for some self care each week.
Even with a full time job to keep me occupied for most of the day, the social distancing is GETTING TO ME. It's so easy to get in a funk and feel bored when you're staying home, trying to flatten the curve. For those of you feeling the same way, I thought I'd share some fun things to do while you stay home!
Taking care of ourselves, loving ourselves and even speaking positively of ourselves can be extra hard in age when comparison and self-criticism are at the forefront. For the bad days, when negative thoughts are in the driver's seat, having a way to reset can be extremely beneficial for our mental health. That is where a self care kit comes in. I've used the things in my self care kit for years, but only recently did I go through the process of "building" a self care kit. So, today I'm going to share with you that process, what's inside my self care kit and how it has recently helped me.
