Comfy & Cute Travel Wear

I made it to Illinois with Will today and am delighted to be able to enjoy the holiday season without any work until the New Year, when I start my new job. I am sure I will hit the ground running when that begins, so I’m trying to truly enjoy the time I have now to relax.

That said, I think my recent travel outfit compliments this current theme of relaxation in my life. It was super comfortable to travel in, and I’d like to think it looked pretty cute as well. I paired a new Cotton Emporium sweater that I got for Christmas with a J.Crew striped shirt, a scarf I got for Christmas, my favorite Rag & Bone jeans and Kork-Ease booties.

The great thing about this outfit are the layers. Especially when I am traveling in the winter, wearing layers helps me stay warm (or cool) whether I am in a plane or waiting for a taxi. I also wore my Barbour jacket as I traveled which gave me added warmth when needed.

Here are all the details to get my look:

This was my first time wearing a Cotton Emporium sweater and I was surprised at how soft, comfy and cozy it is. The sizing was accurate as well. I usually wear a 2 or 4 in tops, and because so wanted a chunky, oversized sweater I got the medium. My Rag & Bone jeans are also fit well and are pretty stretchy–a must-have for me when I travel. I could also easily wear my Kork-Ease booties for hours because the sole is so well cushioned.

Well that’s all for now. While I am in Illinois, I will share a couple more blog posts recapping 2016. Stay tuned!

Hopefully you will continue to enjoy a slow-paced holiday week.

Cheers!

Sarah Camille
