A friend once told me that there’s a somewhat unexpected body part of women that men find attractive. My first thought was, well maybe men just find all parts of women attractive!? Ha! But then I was surprised to hear that this body part was shoulders. I never thought of my shoulders as being attractive, but maybe this friend was on to something.
Two of the hot trends this summer – off-the-shoulder (OTS) & cold shoulder tops – reveal the shoulder area in a sexy way, and I must say, I’m on board with this trend! The cold shoulder is my personal favorite because I find they can be just as sexy and often more flattering than the OTS look. If you have broad shoulders or shoulders wider than your hips, it can be more difficult to pull off an OTS top. If you’re busty, like to move your arms a lot when you talk (pointing at myself!) or have small kids OTS tops can also not be very practical. Don’t get me wrong I love OTS tops, but if I’m picking one over the other, give me a little cold shoulder any day!
Now that I’ve shared the reasoning behind my love of the cold-shoulder look, this brings me to a recent date night look that’s perfect for summer. This cold shoulder tank is so soft and comfortable. The ruffled overlay around my chest is so flattering as well, and I love how it crosses in the back. Paired with my all-time favorite jeans and peep toe booties, I felt so ready for a night out with Will. The clutch I wore is also a favorite for date night. There’s something about the fringe that makes me feel extra fun and flirty!

Very cute! I love the OTS shirts. I don’t own many, prob because I’m a stay at home mom. And I do like showing my shoulders now that they have some tone!
I’m typically not a big fan of the cold shoulder tops but I really like this one because it’s really flowy!
