15 Holiday Gifts – My Favorite Things of 2020 Edition!

Happy holidays my friends! I hope this season is treating you well. Things look different this year for obvious reasons, but picking out holiday gifts is lifting my spirits. I don’t have much extra time to find (though for very good reason) and share gifts with you all this year, BUT I do want to share some gift inspiration that’s based on my favorite things of 2020. These are my holy grail, favorite things that helped me get through what’s perhaps been the craziest year ever. I highly recommend everything mentioned below and think would make really great holiday gifts.

All of my favorites listed below range in price from $19.99 – $260. As of today, it looks like everything should arrive before Christmas Day.

*Also, everything with an asterisk by the retail price is currently on sale. As you’ll see, that’s almost everything on the list!

Favorite Holiday Gifts of 2020

holiday gift ideas - winter parka coat

#1. Abercrombie & Fitch 3-in-1 Parka — $240*

This is my go-to winter coat for everyday and for good reason. It’s very warm and it comes with a faux fur vest that can be zipped in for an extra layer or worn on its own. The exact color I have isn’t available this year but it does come in four colors. For sizing, I recommend getting a size up from your normal shirt size so there is room for layers underneath the coat. Right now, this parka is marked down to $130 + 25% off, making it only $97!!

#2. Sequence — $19.99

This board game is a family favorite! Coming from a family with so many different personalities and opinions, that really says something. It’s a fun and simple game to understand. You can play with two to six people. One game is typically about 20 minutes so you can easily fit one in to your schedule or play a series of games back to back.

#3. Capri Blue Candle — $10-$178

I loooove these candles all year-round and I’ve personally never met a person who can’t appreciate them. The volcano and aloha orchid scents are my favorite. Anthropologie has a great selection of pretty jars/glass containers that they come in, and the Capri Blue site has even more options.

holiday gift idea - sorel waterproof boots

#4. Sorel Waterproof Lace-Up Boots — $189.95

If you follow me on Instagram, you are not surprised these made my list! I wear them all the time because they are super comfortable and so easy to dress up or down. They are also very practical with the extra tread and waterproof material — perfect for fall and winter. I may even keep wearing them in the spring if I can! The slight heel is also nice because it elongates your legs, but it’s not too much height to prevent you from walking around the neighborhood with ease. This exact color is sold out right now, but these boots are available in black and two shades of brown.

#5. Kendra Scott Nola Stud Earrings — $48

These are the earrings I wear almost everyday. My ears feel naked without some kind of stud, and these have been a major favorite this year. I love the size of them – not too big, not too small – and the the combo of gold with the iridescent druzy in the middle makes them go with everything. They also come in platinum and rose gold, which I’m very tempted to get!

#6. Sole Society Mason Weekender Bag — $89.95*

This is the bag I took to the hospital when in labor with Liam. It fits a surprising amount of clothes! The bottom zip compartment is very practical for storing shoes without getting your clothes dirty. It is a well made sturdy bag that I can tell will last for many many future travels. It’s also currently on sale for $59!!

#7. Amazon Cotton Joggers — $29.99

These are an Amazon bestseller for very good reason. I’m wearing them in the pic above at 40+ weeks pregnant and still wear them all the time. I got them as a gift last Christmas and I have to say these are my favorite joggers of 2020. I’ve tried so many joggers since the pandemic and I keep going back to these. The cotton-blend material feels really nice. It washes very well. And, I love that they look polished enough for running errands around town. They come in 21 colors and will arrive before Christmas.

#8. J.Crew Turtleneck Sweater — $95*

I got this sweater last year and just got a new one in the sunlit berry color during Cyber Monday because they’re my favorite! Super soft, well made and a classic style — to me, those are the perfect ingredients for a good gift. As of today, it’s currently on sale for 48% off!

#9. Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer — $59.99*

Another item I’ve had for over a year and still use regularly, it’s been particularly helpful as a new mom with very limited time to myself. My hair can be blown dry and styled in less than 10 minutes. Amazon is guaranteeing delivery for this before Christmas, and be sure to select the $10 off coupon when purchasing.

#10. Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel — $63

Beauty products are hard to pick for other people, but I’m confident this resurfacing peel can be appreciated by just about anyone. I have used it 1-2x each week for the past year and love how it keeps my skin looking bright and healthy. You just apply this peel to clean skin, apply a moisturizer on top and leave it on overnight. The AHA/BHA ingredients help improves skin texture and boosts clarity without irritation or over-drying. It really lives up to its 3,600+ 5 star reviews!!

#11. Garmin vivomove HR, Hybrid Smartwatch — $199.99

For a fitness lover or someone with health goals, this watch would be a great gift. I wear mine all the time. It tracks your heart rate, monitors sleep, counts steps, logs workouts, connects to your phone and does so much more! I found this very helpful when working out while pregnant because I could easily watch my heart rate to make sure I wasn’t over exerting myself. There are styles for men and women available on Amazon. It’s also currently on sale for $164 and will arrive before Christmas.

holiday gift idea - sole society satchel

#12. Sole Society Dayla Satchel — $79.99*

In terms of an everyday bag, this has everything I need. It’s not too big or bulky. The zipper closure and crossbody strap are very useful. Plus, it has multiple pockets on the inside. I also loved the Destin satchel by Sole Society (pictured in the pic of me wearing the parka above). Both come in multiple neutral colors that you can’t go wrong with. The Dayla satchel is currently on sale for $49.

#13. Nixplay Wi-Fi Frame — $179

We got this frame for Will’s parents last Christmas and it’s been a huge hit. His parents loved it so much they even gifted us one. The frame connects to an app and multiple users (family members or friends) can have access to add photos. It’s such a nice way to stay connected, especially this year, and make the most of all the photos on our phones.

#14. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings — $98

I’ve loved these leggings for more than just the past year, but I really loved them this year. They just have a way of elevating that stay home look haha! Seriously though, these are a great gift idea for any fashion lover. I’ve had mine for over 3 years now, and not only do they fit like they are brand new, I have yet to tire of wearing them. They’re so fun and easy to dress up and down. I also discovered Spanx ponte ankle leggings these year and they are a close second to these!! Both are 10000% worth the price.

#15. Pottery Barn Faux Fur Throw Blanket — $179*

I can’t think of a better gift for anyone staying home this winter who appreciates cozy things. This throw is a splurge but it is truly something you will have and cherish forever. We got ours as a wedding gift and use it almost every day – even in the summer lol! It’s currently on sale for $143.

So that’s a wrap on the holiday gifts inspired by my favorite things of 2020. I hope this gives you some inspiration for gift shopping this year. I’d love to hear what your favorite things of 2020 have been as well. What favorite things would make good holiday gifts?!

Happy Holidays!
