FabFitFun Spring Box Sneak Peak + $10 Coupon

2019 FabFitFun Spring Box sneak peek and customization - SCsScoop.com

Hello friends! Today, I am sharing a FabFitFun Spring Box Sneak-Peek. This is an insider’s look at the customization process for annual members and the product options for this season’s FabFitFun box. I have talked a lot about this subscription box, and while I love to share what’s inside my boxes after I arrive, I thought I would switch things up for you. But before we dive in, let me give you some background information on the subscription box options with FabFitFun.

The Scoop on FabFitFun

FabFitFun sends its members a box each season with a mix of beauty, wellness and fashion products, many of which are fun practical, fun pieces that fit the season we’re entering. Boxes are sent in March, June, September and December.

There are two membership options – annual and seasonal. With the annual subscription you pay $179.99 upfront for your first four boxes. That’s $45 for each box. Annual subscribers also get early shipping and the perk of picking out all the contents of their FabFitFun box.

Seasonal members can only pick a few items out and everything else is random. With a seasonal membership you pay $49.99 per box and you are billed per season. You can opt-out whenever you’d like.

In addition to the box and all its contents, all FabFitFun members get access to beauty tips, workout videos and coupon codes for the box’s featured brands.

The Customization Process & the Products

I chose the annual membership because I really like the customization options, and I just love this subscription box in general. The quality of the products is amazing and the value of the whole box always has me in awe. I could easily buy one or two products for the same price as the box.

Before each season, I get an email detailing the FabFitFun schedule and when customization will open. It’s always exciting to see the product options and pick out what will go in your box.

Here is what the customization process looked like for the spring box. I just went through each of these and chose what I liked best. The options I chose are in bold too!

Inside FabFitFun’s Summer Box

what's inside the FabFitFun summer box

Hi friends!

Summer officially began last week, and with perfect timing arrived my FabFitFun Summer box. I have talked about this subscription box a couple times before, but if you haven’t heard of it you may be surprised with what a great value it is! I love getting a few fun seasonal items in the mail that I would not think to buy for myself and/or are from brands I have not yet heard about.

Cargo HD Picture Perfect Highlighter in Bronze, $30

Highlighters are hot this year, and this was on my list of things to purchase. This one does not disappoint – I’m already in love with how shimmery and silky it is!

Way of Will Post Training Massage Oil, $29.50

I opted for a fitness themed item and got this post-workout massage oil. The oil is a mix of peppermint oil, chamomile oil, and lemongrass oil. I have used peppermint oil for pain management before, so I’m excited to try this!

BKR Bottle in Rosie, $35

This 16 ounce bottle is dishwasher safe, and the silicone is BPA and phthalate free, too.

Understated Leather Travel Set, $28

I also opted for a travel themed item, instead of the artist and chef items, and I got this awesome, rose gold leather travel set. It includes a luggage tag and passport holder.

Juice Beauty Smoothing Eye Concentrate, $29

I had not heard of the Juice Beauty brand but I’m excited to try this product. The formulas is organic and the product has a subtle green apple scent!

Kris Nations Mystic Bar Necklace, $58

This necklace is adjustable in length, from 16″ to 18″. It looks great paired with other neutral or colorful necklaces.

Avene Eau Thermale Ultra-Light Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion, $24

This is another brand I’m not familiar with, but with an initial try it works nicely under my makeup. The formula is fragrance, paraben, and oil free, too!

Michael Stars Ruana, $54

This ruana is a multi-use product that can work as a scarf, sarong, or wrap! It may be my favorite item in this season’s box (I can’t decide yet!). And I can’t wait to wear it at the beach next week.

The total value of my box is $287.50. I think that’s pretty impressive given the high quality of the products included and the low cost of each box. If you would like to try this out or gift a FabFitFun box to a friend, the cost for one box is $49.99. If you buy an annual subscription, the cost per box is $45, and you get to pick which types of themed items you’ll receive (like a beauty item vs. a fitness item).

Click here to receive $10 off your first FabFitFun box!

Have you ever used any of these items? Are you a FabFitFun subscriber? Have you tried a similar subscription box program? I’d love to hear your thoughts on subscription boxes like this one.

Cheers!

Getting that Summer GLOW: Rodan + Fields Sunless Foaming Tan Review

An honest review of Rodan + Fields Essentials Sunless Foaming Tan

Hi friends!

Memorial Day weekend is almost here, and while it is most importantly a weekend to remember our military who sacrificed their lives, it is also an unofficial kickoff of summer. It’s often this time of year when I put on shorts for the first time and cringe when I see how pale my bare legs look. Cheers to all you out there who don’t care at all how pale you are!! To take the edge off that cringeworthy moment, I often turn to sunless tanners. So today I’m going to share with you my Rodan + Fields Sunless Foaming Tan review.

I swear, I try at least one new sunless tanning product each summer. I have never been very impressed by the higher end sunless tanning products because I feel they either aren’t worth the lengthy process or that they aren’t a good value for the results I got. My go-to sunless tanning product is often Jergen’s Natural Glow lotion because the color is pretty good and it is affordable ($10). But recently, my friend Emily, who is a consultant for Rodan + Fields, shared with me their Essentials Sunless Foaming Tan ($26) to try. So far, it’s been surprisingly effective as easy to use!

Rodan + Fields Sunless Foaming Tan: The Review

The best things about this product are – the value, easy application and the natural color! I noticed quickly that a little goes a long way. I used four pumps on each leg and two for each arm, and it doesn’t seem like I put a dent in it. I’m sure I could get more applications out of my Rodan + Fields  bottle than my usual Jergen’s lotion. So, the value of this product is really even with Jergen’s lotion. In addition, I applied my legs and arms in less than two minutes. The foamless tanning solution absorbed into my skin quickly and was easily applied evenly.

Then, after waiting the recommended two to four hours for the product to set in, I noticed how lovely the color was. It did not look orange at all. It truly looked like a sun-kissed glow. As a testament, Will was out when I put on the foamless tanner. When he arrived my tan had set in and he thought it looked nice and natural (score!).

My only gripe about this product is that because it is a light, clear, absorbing foam, it is hard to see exactly where you’ve applied. While a lotion takes longer, because it is a more substantial product, you can more easily feel and see where you’ve applied the lotion. So, there is a bit of a trade off for the quick application process.

A tip for the first time users:

If you’re applying this Rodan + Fields Sunless Foaming Tan to prepare for an event. Apply it about 24 hours in advance and take a warm shower to gently wash your body. This way any little streaks or blotchy areas will be diminished.

I also really liked how the product faded with time, did not give me orange hands and did not bleed on sheets or towels. Bleeding is a problem I have had with many other tanning products, which can be really annoying. Overall, I am sure I’ll be using my Sunless Foaming Tan over the other comparables in my cabinet throughout this summer. The color and convenience factor really make this stuff standout.

I’d love to know if you have tried Rodan + Field’s Sunless Foaming Tan or any other Rodan + Fields product. This is the first R+F product I have tried, so I’m also curious if you all have any other recommendations from this brand.

If you’d like to know more about R+F’s sunless tanner or shop R+F products, check out Emily’s website for all the details.

Cheers!

Sarah Camille
