14 Adorable & Affordable Sandals

Adorable and Affordable Sandals Shoes for Spring and Summer - Target Sandals - SCsScoop.comClick this photo to shop my look!

Hi friends! Earlier this week, I made a Target run and stumbled across some adorable and affordable sandals that I just have to share with you! It’s a great time to stock up on some new sandals because they can easily update your spring and summer style.  I love how changing my shoes can take an outfit from day to night or work to play. The photo above shows, just how shoes can change the look of an outfit.  What’s even better, is when you find shoes that fit your budget! All of the sandals I am sharing retail for $35 or less.

Here are my fourteen favorite adorable and affordable sandals. Several of which I own and love!

The Scoop on Target’s Affordable Sandals

There are a lot of great things about Target, but if you don’t know – they have really great dupes! Their shoes look so similar and the quality has been great, in my experience. Now, I would not say it is high-end quality. They probably will not last as long as the higher end versions. But, if you are eyeing something trendy that probably won’t be popular in a couple years, then getting Target’s more affordable option is the way to go!

The strappy sandals above with a block heel are a Steve Madden-inspired, with less height in the heel. I own the Steve Madden sandal, so I tried on Target’s in-store ones to give you all a comparison. I was surprised. The Target dupe is great, and since I wore my Steve Madden pair all summer last year, I can say from experience you will love them with SO many outfits.

Also, I know the mules I shared are not technically sandals, but I am obsessed with the woven detail of them and just had to share. There are a couple pairs above that will look very familiar, if you saw my recap of what I wore in Cancun and what to wear on your next beach vacation. Both pairs I got have a nice amount of cushion, and I still can’t get over the prices.

Hopefully this recap helps you out if you are in the market for some new shoes to sport as the weather gets warmer. I would love to hear what pair you love the most and what sandals you wear the most during the summer.

Cheers!

Sarah Camille

Shirt Dress Style Inspiration for Winter

Shirt Dress Style Inspiration for Winter - SCsScoop.com

Hello friends! Winter is officially kicking off at the end of the week. To help you (and me!) cope with the dropping temperatures I wanted to share some shirt dress style inspiration, especially for winter. Similar to the Faux Fur Vest style tips I shared during the fall, this post is in collaboration with Lou Lou Boutiques on a special post for y’all. Shirt dresses can be worn throughout the year, but today I’m focusing specifically on thick, flannel ones and how to style them so you look cute, but not cold!

I wore Lou Lou’s shirt dress around Old Town Alexandria (in Northern Virginia) for a fun afternoon in November, exploring the waterfront and, of course, shopping at Lou Lous. I stayed super warm in a thick shawl vest and my leather leggings. But for full-blown winter, you may need to bundle up more.

Here are a few tips for styling a shirt dress this winter:

  • Layers are always a good idea – If it’s colder where you are, try pairing your shirt dress with a coat that hits at your hips or knees. You can also wear a cami or tank top under your dress for extra warmth,
  • Accentuate your waist – Shirt dresses with a tie waist are most flattering. If your dress doesn’t come with a tie waist like the one I got from Lou Lou’s add a belt!
  • Switch tights for leggings – The faux leather leggings I’m sporting are so much warmer than tights. Investing in some for your winter wardrobe, will be good for all your dresses, skirts and tunic-length tops!

I hope you find my style tips helpful as we transition into winter. I would love to hear from you all too! Do you plan to wear a shirt dress like this for Christmas or during the winter? I would love to hear where you would wear one this winter. Share your shirt dress style tips in the comments.

Cheers!
