Labor Day is coming up fast and that means the unofficial start of fall is about to begin! It’s pretty old news that fall is my favorite season when it comes to styling outfits, but today I want to share some practical style inspiration as we transition into fall. I’ve been wearing dresses all summer long because they’re so comfortable with my expanding bump, but there’s one affordable leopard print dress that I’m most excited to keep wearing this fall. First, I’ll show you how I’ve been wearing it this summer, and then we’ll get into how to style a leopard print dress for fall.

I found this leopard print dress on Amazon for only $27, and I can honestly say it’s my favorite Amazon purchase of the year. The fabric quality is great, it washes well and it has pockets. It’s also just incredibly comfort and at nine months pregnant I love how easy it is to style. For the right fit, I sized down to a XS because it is stretchy enough to accommodate a bump. This summer, I’ve worn the dress with sandals and some simple jewelry. If I was cold, while inside and working from home, I’d throw on this lightweight beige cardigan.
Two Tips for Styling Your Leopard Print Dress this Fall
As the weather gets colder, here are the two main things you can do to style and transition this leopard print dress or any leopard print dress into fall:
- Switch lighter accessories for darker ones. This includes my jacket, purse and shoes. As you can see below, the pieces I added or switched out are all darker. This helps make the whole look feel more appropriate for fall.
- Incorporate layers and/or heavier pieces. In particular, I always grab booties and/or jackets to keep myself warm as the temperature drops in the fall. Thicker fabrics and layers will forever scream fall, and it can be fun to play around with the jackets and cardigans in your wardrobe to create new fall looks from your summer outfits.
To style my leopard print maxi dress for fall, I chose a blue jean jacket, a brown crossbody purse and matching booties. I love how the purse compliments the dress. Sadly it’s sold out, but the matching wallet is available.

If you are looking for a shorter leopard print dress, I just tried on this one and it’s SO cute. It fits true to size, has a flowy cut that is very flattering, and I love the long sleeves. It is also currently on sale for $20.
Here are some more layers that will work for transitioning any leopard print dress into fall:
I would love to hear how you transition summer dresses or other pieces into the fall. Do you have a similar leopard prinnt dress from the summer that you’ll wear into the fall? What are your favorite pieces to get you through the summer to fall transition? Let’s chat in the comments!
Cheers!
