Red, White & Blue Style Inspiration for the Fourth of July

Red, White & Blue Style Inspiration for the Fourth of July - SCsScoop.com

Hi friends! I’m down in Florida this week for my grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary. Summer is definitely in full force down here and with Fourth of July around the corner, I wanted to share some red, white and blue style inspiration. First, I’ll share how I am styling red, white and blue this summer. Then, I’ll share a few cute and patriotic red, white and blue tops to complete your Fourth of July outfits.

For a casual look, I paired a pretty red floral cami with my high-waisted mom jeans – a new favorite! I found my cami on amazon earlier this year and got it specifically for the Fourth of July. It runs TTS and does not come tied. I just decided to tie it since so had high-waisted jeans on.

For a dressier look, I styled navy paperbag shorts with a fitted striped red, white and blue tee. I also paired them with my super affordable rattan earrings from Amazon. Not pictured are the nude espadrilles I can’t stop wearing! For the shorts, I sized up to make sure they were super flowy, kind of like a skirt. The floral cami would totally work with these shorts as well! A style tip for tucking tops into paperbag shorts: tuck the whole top in, all the way around, and then pull it out little by little until you get the look you’re going for.

Now for some extra red, white and blue style inspiration, I am sharing some stylish tops to easily pull together a patriotic and cute outfit.

I can’t wait to wear these outfits in just a couple weeks when we are at the beach in South Carolina.

Now, I’d love to hear from y’all – what will you be wearing this Fourth of July and what will you be doing? Do you have a favorite look of the two I shared?

Cheers!

Sarah Camille

7 Floral Rompers for less than $50 + A Style Tip

A Style Tip + 7 Floral Rompers for less than $50 - Floral Romper Trend - Summer Style Inspiration - SCsScoop.com

Hi friends & happy Friday! I found an affordable floral romper that I have been loving lately. So today, I am sharing how I styled it and all the details for this look. I also found five more floral rompers that are all less than $50!

Floral rompers are a great staple for summer. In general, rompers are “in” this season, and I would guess that the trend will continue to be popular for at least a few years! If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you already know I have a thing for florals. So, it’s probably not surprising that I am loving how the print looks on rompers. The floral romper I am wearing is $25 and comes in a blue floral print as well.

A Style Tip for Floral Rompers

If you’re trying to find accessories for a floral romper, it’s best to stick with neutral pieces and keep it simple. I accessorized my romper with ivory crochet tassel earrings and a new comfy pair of nude espadrille wedges. I wore a straw basket purse with a simple Kendra Scott bangle and rose gold cross ring as well.

Wearing neutral accessories will let your floral romper have its moment, and you won’t have to worry about the print competing or clashing with anything else. For layering on a cool summer evening, try a taupe suede moto jacket or a white denim jacket that compliments your neutral accessories. My neutral straw hat pictured below is also a fun, summertime accessory for floral rompers!

14 Adorable & Affordable Sandals

Adorable and Affordable Sandals Shoes for Spring and Summer - Target Sandals - SCsScoop.comClick this photo to shop my look!

Hi friends! Earlier this week, I made a Target run and stumbled across some adorable and affordable sandals that I just have to share with you! It’s a great time to stock up on some new sandals because they can easily update your spring and summer style.  I love how changing my shoes can take an outfit from day to night or work to play. The photo above shows, just how shoes can change the look of an outfit.  What’s even better, is when you find shoes that fit your budget! All of the sandals I am sharing retail for $35 or less.

Here are my fourteen favorite adorable and affordable sandals. Several of which I own and love!

The Scoop on Target’s Affordable Sandals

There are a lot of great things about Target, but if you don’t know – they have really great dupes! Their shoes look so similar and the quality has been great, in my experience. Now, I would not say it is high-end quality. They probably will not last as long as the higher end versions. But, if you are eyeing something trendy that probably won’t be popular in a couple years, then getting Target’s more affordable option is the way to go!

The strappy sandals above with a block heel are a Steve Madden-inspired, with less height in the heel. I own the Steve Madden sandal, so I tried on Target’s in-store ones to give you all a comparison. I was surprised. The Target dupe is great, and since I wore my Steve Madden pair all summer last year, I can say from experience you will love them with SO many outfits.

Also, I know the mules I shared are not technically sandals, but I am obsessed with the woven detail of them and just had to share. There are a couple pairs above that will look very familiar, if you saw my recap of what I wore in Cancun and what to wear on your next beach vacation. Both pairs I got have a nice amount of cushion, and I still can’t get over the prices.

Hopefully this recap helps you out if you are in the market for some new shoes to sport as the weather gets warmer. I would love to hear what pair you love the most and what sandals you wear the most during the summer.

Cheers!
