Summertime is kicking off and we have three months of fun in the sun awaiting us! At the start of each new season, I love to share the new and old pieces in my wardrobe that I’ll be wearing, along with how I’ll be styling them. My hope is the rundown of summer style must-haves will help you get the most out of your wardrobe and give you some inspiration for new styles to try.

Now for my 14 Summer Style Must-Haves …

#1 – Bathing Suit

Finding a good bathing suit that fits you well is key! I’m obsessed with the scoop neck one piece suit pictured above. The cut is practical and simple, the fit is perfect and the print is fun! It also comes in a classic bikini, if that’s more your style.

#2 – Cover-Up

I love cover-ups! There are a lot of wrap ones this season, but I really like the ones I can throw over my head and go. The one I found on Amazon this season is such a steal and comes in a ton of styles!

#3 – Layered Necklace

This is my new favorite accessory trend! I love how pretty the delicate necklaces look together. These work well with v-neck tanks or shirts and simple high-neck tops.

#4 – Leopard Sandals

I still can’t get enough of leopard. Plus, I have a true obsession with leopard print being on my feet. So it was a no-brainer to get some leopard-print sandals. The ones I got have such a nice cushion to them and the higher band keeps them from sliding off.

#5 – Graphic Tee

This is another trend I’m enjoying this summer. There are some really fun ones out there and they’re fun to style with denim shorts on the weekend.

#6 – Denim Shorts

I’ve been pretty lucky finding shorts at different price points that fit well! My white denim shorts, pictured above and below, are more expensive, but really great quality and fit true to size. The faded denim shorts, pictured below, are an amazing steal if you’re on a budget. They fit true to size but I ordered up just for a more relaxed fit.

#7 – Straw Hat

I love the straw hat I got this spring. Pictured below (and all over my Instagram!), it just has a way of spicing up my summer outfits and pulling them together. It doesn’t hurt that it keeps my face from getting too much sun either.

#8 – Midi Dress

Midi dresses are definitely having a moment right now, and I’m all about it. As someone on the taller side (5′ 8″), it is so nice to not worry if a maxi dress will be long enough. The one I’m wearing above fits true to size and could easily take you from day to night.

#9 – Striped Top

Bold, colorful stripes in the summer are my jam! I like having more casual and dressy-er options on hand too.

#10 – Straw or Basket Bag

For our spring beach trip, I found an affordable basket purse that I thought would be fun. Now, I’m surprised much it’s already been put to good use. They are perfect for the beach and summer in general! I also was in need of a new tote for work and travel, so I got one with a mix of straw and a leather bottom. It is so cute!

#11 – White Top

I know! This is as basic as it gets, but there’s no better time to be sporting a fresh white top than the summertime. I found a great light linen, pocket tee that I’ve been wearing on repeat. But, I also like to have a dressier white tank in the summer. They just go with EVERYTHING.

#12 – Woven Earrings

I am loving the look of woven statement earrings. Neutral ones will seriously work with every summer outfit you can think of.

#13 – White Jeans

This is a summer must-have you’ll wear for years to come. I wear a more straight leg for casual work outfits and skinny ones with flowy, loose tops.

#14 – Espadrille sANDALS

Last but not least, this is a pretty obvious summer must-have for me. I love heeled espadrilles, but there are some cute espadrilles that don’t have a heel. If you want something more comfortable and just as cute, I recommend these!
