Last week, Will and I went on a trip to Jamaica and had a wonderful time soaking up some sun. We love to get away to some where warm each winter, and with my new job starting soon, we decided to go ahead and book a trip for January. For this trip, I found several new affordable pieces I love and brought along some favorites from last summer. Today, I’m sharing them so you can get some spring break style inspiration! If you’re heading some where warm in the next couple months, these are the affordable pieces I recommend packing.

What to Pack for Spring Break
Floppy Straw Hat – I love this affordable one for the beach and pool, since it’s good quality for the price, has a wide rim to block the sun and has an adjustable band so it stays on your head. If you want to wear a hat for dinner or special outings, you can’t go wrong with a panama hat! This one I got last year is classic and amazing quality.
Printed Bikini Top & Bottoms – A bathing suit is an obvious must-have, but I have actually forgotten mine!! Personally, I prefer a fun printed bikini with full coverage. The one I brought to Jamaica was very comfortable and the quality is SO good for the price.
Oversized Sunglasses – For beach or pool trips, I prefer to pack an affordable pair of sunglasses so I don’t have to worry about them with sand & waves!

Studded Flat Sandals – These are a packing must have because they don’t take up much space at all and are so easy to take your spring break style from day to night.
Beach Cover-Up – Another must-have — I love cover-ups that are sleeveless and have lace and/or tassel details!
Sunscreen – Just what you need to prevent coming home with a sunburn! I love this kind on my face – it smells SO good. The sunscreen travel kit pictured below is a great deal and you won’t have to check your bag if you’re flying somewhere.
Straw Tote Bag – If like to bring a lot of things to the beach or pool, like me, then you gotta pack one of these. The one I brought, pictured above, laid flat in my suitcase so it hardly took up any room.
Slide-on Sandals – Pro-tip: bring a pair of slide-on sandals you can wear to the pool and will work for your
Floral Kimono – This is what’s pictured above, wrapped around the beach bag! A floral kimono is another multi-purpose piece that’s will kick your spring break style up a notch. You can wear it over a white tank and cut-off shorts, wrap it around your neck like a scarf or add a little flair to your beach bag.
Striped One-Piece Swimsuit – The super popular and affordable one I got last summer, is only available in one size. So, I’m

Multi-Purpose Dress – For our trip to Jamaica, I took a short version of the long dress pictured below. Both of them can easily be re-styled for day or night.
Rattan Earrings – These lightweight earrings are so fun for and spring break trip!
Espadrille Platform Wedge Sandals – These are a must-pack if you have a fancy dinner in the books for your spring break trip. These sandals are more of an investment than most items on this list, but they’re a classic piece that will last for many many spring break trips and summers.
Cut-Off Denim Shorts – My favorite pair from last summer are restocked! There’s also a similar, more affordable version I own and love, linked here.
Evening Bag – You can pack a neutral clutch to avoid purchasing something new or get an affordable rattan bag, like the one pictured below.

If you add a few more basic pieces to the packing list above, you will be ready for some stylish fun in the sun! I hope this run down has give you some spring break style inspiration and is leaving you feeling more confident about what to pack.
One last thing! It’s a travel necessity that’s not specific to spring break trips — good book. I’m currently reading Lilac Girls, and which follows three women during WWII and how their lives intersect with each other. My friend recommended it, and it’s pretty good, if you’re looking for a new read.
Cheers!
