I’m back from the beach (still overcoming my withdrawals) and have some wonderful news! Last week I was nominated by fellow blogger Jattu Kallon for a Blogger Recognition Award. Jattu is a lifestyle blogger with a wide range of interesting blogging topics, so you should definitely check her out! This award is given to a blogger by another blogger to show appreciation all the work he/she does on their websites and blog posts.
It feels particularly great to be getting this award because I’m quickly approaching the one year anniversary for my blog. Remember my first post, anyone!? Now in return for this award, I will share how my blog started, advice for new bloggers and nominate 15 bloggers I admire.
How SC’s Scoop Began
I began this blog last July right after a beach trip and after years of contemplating starting one. The beginning of this blog coincided with a time when my job was causing me a lot stress and making me unhappy. It was and is so helpful and inspiring to have a creative outlet that is fun and completely directed by me. As you can see in my first blog post, the goal of this blog is to bring a positive light to other woment, and that remains the same today.

Then, set specific goals for yourself and remember there is never a single path to success. Every blog and blogger are different, so do what makes sense for you!
- Keep your voice consistent and authentic. When your writing is consistent and authentic your true personality will shine through and that’s what generates posts and content readers love. Don’t be afraid to show your true colors or share an interesting thought. If you think something is
